The Cons:Album art isn't displayed onscreen when playing music. Limited iPod compatibility--NOT compatible with 6th Generation iPod classic , iPhone or iPod Touch. 8.5" display is widescreen but the supported iPods only display in fullscreen, causing video to look stretched.

The Altec Lansing inMotion iMV712 is a high-tech iPod docking system featuring powerful digital audio, a built-in 4” subwoofer, and a universal dock that charges and plays iPods. It is perhaps one of Altec Lansing’s top dock units, as it includes a large 8.5” widescreen display for even playing movies.

And if 8.5” is too small, users have the additional option of utilizing the unit’s S-Video output to direct video content to a television. Note that the system also hosts an auxiliary input so that users can connect a CD, DVD, or portable music/video player. In regards to audio quality, the system relies on two 3” Neodymium speakers and a 4”, side-firing subwoofer that all-together output up to 65W of room-shaking bass.
