iHome Studio Series iP1
$299.00
Released July, 2009
The Pros:100 Watts. IPhone compatible. Full function remote.
The Cons:100 Watts... yet not as powerful as a Bose (it doesn't fill the room as much). I think for the money, it sounds awesome!
The iHome iP1 is an iPod/iPhone compatible speaker system that sports two 4” subwoofers and two 1” tweeters powered by a 100 Watt class D amplifier, featuring four discretely voiced power drives, one for each speaker, making it a truly bi-amplified stereo configuration.

iHome's new flagship audio product, the iP1 maintains a “striking industrial design with two over-sized cylindrical woofer chambers poking through a sleek, smoked-acrylic faceplate that also houses a pair of high frequency drivers (tweeters).” In addition, the iP1 sports an iPod/iPhone combo dock that protrudes from the front of the acrylic panel, not to mention an auxiliary input port, an A/V output port, and a remote control for easy control of the unit. The iHome iP1 also packs in a digital signal processor running the BonGiovi Digital Power Station which is cited as “providing the iP1 with serious sound in a compact package.” The iHome iP1 is slated to be released Summer 2009 for an estimated $249 to $299.
