iLive IB289
$60.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:Dedicated forward/back track buttons are highly functional - much easier to use than having to manually control the device itself. Excellent for mobile use - lower price point makes beach and camping use a realistic option. Very durable overall - users report consistent functionality despite dropping and water damage.
The Cons:Lacks external EQ adjustment - puts unit at a disadvantage as compared to similar models from Jensen and Altec Lansing. Radio receiver is very unreliable - seems to toggle between intermittent signals and constant static. Volume outputting is fairly quiet - muffling and distortion may occur at maximal levels, making the unit unsuitable for social gathering and larger room settings.
