The Pros:Initial setup is quick and easy - most users will have the unit up and running within 5 minutes. The Cons:Remote browsing is not available on iPod Touch and iPhone models - may prevent some users from purchasing the unit. May freeze during browsing and playback - several users report bug issues when attempting to select and view video content. DVD player is noisy and may eventually encounter performance issues - many users are forced to perform a hard reset every time content is paused or stopped.
The iLuv i1255 is a DVD player with iPod connectivity released in early 2008. Announced at CES of the same year, this device is compatible with the iPod touch, iPod nano (3rd gen) and iPod with video. Aside from watching DVDs with the iLuv i1255, consumers can play video and audio content from their iPods via the included remote control and on-screen display.

The iLuv i1255 has component video and coaxial digital audio connectivity for use with HDTVs and surround sound systems. S-Video and composite output is also supported for legacy equipment. Other playable media includes DVDs, MP3 and audio CDs, plus JPEG and Kodak Picture CDs. iPods automatically charge while docked in the device. A remote control is also included in the box.
