iLuv iMM173

$80.00 Released August, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Affordable price. Includes remote control. Large LCD display.

The Cons:Mediocre sound quality - doesn't match better known brands. Unreliable as an alarm clock - clock freezes and requires resetting. Multiple revisions floating around - version 1.0 has compatibility issues with the iPhone.

The iMM173 is a mid-range dual iPod/iPhone dock and alarm clock from iLuv. Integrated speakers, two docks, and an FM tuner allow users to wake to one of two iPods or iPhones, radio, or buzzer. The large LCD display features a dimmer function with 10 steps.

Where to Buy

For use with non-iPod MP3 players, the device includes an AUX input, but only docked iPods can be recharged. Its second dock, iPhone compatibility, and included remote control place it above the iMM153 in iLuv's iPod alarm clock line, although it drops the iMM153's unique 'bed shaker' feature. The iMM173 is available in black.
